Open your Instagram insights and sort by saves, not views. A save means someone wanted to keep it. That is the reel worth saying twice.
Step 2. Hand Claude the reel
Open a new Claude thread. Attach four or five screenshots from the reel, plus any images you showed in it. Then paste this.
Set up the thread
I posted this reel and I want to turn it into a carousel.
Here is what I said in it:
[paste your script. If you improvised, paste your caption and describe in a few lines what you said.]
The images attached are the frames and assets from that reel.
Don't write anything yet. Tell me what the reel is actually teaching, in one sentence, so I know we agree before you start.
Step 3. Ask for the slides
The slide breakdown
Now break it into carousel slides.
Slide one is the hook, in the words I already said out loud. The middle slides are the steps, one step per slide. The last slide is the offer.
Rules:
- Every line comes from what I actually said. Don't write new claims.
- If you have to write a line that isn't in the script, flag it separately so I can check it.
- One idea per slide. If a slide needs two sentences to make sense, split it.
Give me the copy first. No design yet.
Step 4. Ask it to build them
The design brief
Build these as image files, sized for an Instagram carousel.
Use my images full bleed, edge to edge, on every slide. The text sits on top of the photo. No blank panels, no boxes with the photo tucked inside.
My colors: [your two or three brand colors]
My fonts: [your display font and your body font]
Put my handle small at the bottom of every slide.
Look at what comes back before you ask for changes. Fix one thing at a time.
Step 5. Caption and keyword
Caption and DM
Write the caption. Open with the same hook as slide one, then the method in plain sentences.
End with: comment [YOUR KEYWORD] and I'll send you [what you're giving them].
Then write the DM that keyword triggers.
The one thing that breaks it
New claims. The moment a slide says something you never said on camera, the carousel stops being a repost and starts being a thing you have to fact-check. That is why step 3 asks for invented lines to be flagged separately. Read that list before you approve anything.
Built from a reel posted in August and turned into an eleven-slide carousel in about twenty minutes. Every asset already existed.
